BUG: Problem with Holding Power Option for Monitor sleep

There appears to be a bug in Vista (I have Ultimate so can't speak for
others).

Under the POWER OPTIONS, no matter what PLAN you are on when you choose the
Option for when to turn the Display off, no matter what setting you choose,
it defaults back to 20 Mins after an hour or so. Even without a boot or
anything this option (which I want to set to NEVER) always appears back as
20 mins

It needs to be fixed, so does MS have a Hotfix for this??

Doesn't happen here for Vista Ultimate RTM retail. It's set at 1 hour, been
that way and stays that way.

Re: Problem with Holding Power Option for Monitor sleep

I have 3 different timings set 1 for each power scheme, they all stick with no problems.
vista ultimate 64 bit RTM.

RE: BUG: Problem with Holding Power Option for Monitor sleep

I have vista home premium, and the same happens to me, I set all power plans
to never shut off the display but none stay. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: BUG: Problem with Holding Power Option for Monitor sleep

Did you click on the Save Changes button?

Mine is set to 30 minutes and it works perfectly.

Also, you could create a new Custom Plan and select that as your default.
Do not forget to use the Save Changes button!

Re: BUG: Problem with Holding Power Option for Monitor sleep

Even my custom plan reverts back to shut off display atfter 20 minutes. No
matter what I do it does not save my plans.
