| | Windows Aero (System Specification is fine, options greyed out) I have upgraded from Windows Xp Home Edition, to Windows Vista Home Premium edition today and everything is working fine beside windows aero. When i go to the taskbar and start menu properties, the "show window previews (thumbnails)" option is greyed out and I am unable to click it on! Also the Windows Flip is non existant, when pressing alt + tab. This is my systems specification: Intel Pentium M Processor 740, Processor Speed 1.73ghz 80GB Hard Drive Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with 128mb shared with main memory 1.49gb DDR2 SD RAM 1x512Mb 1x1gb I have been told by many that the laptop should be able to run windows aero! Can anyone help me! Thanks Ash |

| | Re: Windows Aero (System Specification is fine, options greyed out) 1. Windows Flip is actuated by Winkey + Tab. Alt + Tab brings up the old interface. 2. Intel's GMA 900 is not supported by Vista Aero Glass. It really should be, since it's DirectX 9 compliant, but it's Intel's fault. They haven't created a driver for it.
