Vista Ultimate high CPU utilization problem found

Just figured to throw into the general knowledge base.

I just solved a high CPU utilization problem in vista ultimate for one
of my artists.

Problem: Vista Ultimate CPU is showing constant high usage that is
unattributed to any process other than system idle. Performance of the
box in After FX is consistent with a constant 40-60% overhead (not
attributed to a proc other than idle).

Solution: after review the resource monitor and task manager i saw
alot of disk thrashing and RAM use by adobe version cue. I killed the
process and disabled it. The box now runs like a normal sane machine.

hope this helps someone.

Re: Vista Ultimate high CPU utilization problem found

Hi,

Just FYI,

Adobe CS3 has done a good job on performance enhancement, not an
endorsement, just for information.

If you can get it to install.

I tried for 3 days to get CS3 to install on 3 different machines, but no
joy.

It's gone back, and I've got my money back.
