Vista - connection pop up and start up items

Hi

I have Vista Home Premium.

The box asking me to connect to the internet keeps popping up every 15
minutes or so - this is very anoying when watching Win TV. How do I stop this
from happening?

Also, how do I remove items on the bottom right (to the left of the clock) -
I want to stop them loading on startup

You have to check the setting for your connection.

Click the start orb > run > type msconfig > tab 'startup'.
If 'Run' is not shown, rightclick on the start orb > properties > click
'customize' by the start menu option > tick of 'Run command'.

Alternatively, you can type 'msconfig' in the start menu searchbox.
