Hi,

This has been all over the net. It seems to be a Vista issue that will be hopefully fixed one day with a Windows Update. It's always been flakey about the folder view. Even if you check the "Remember each folders settings" in the Folder Options. Some days ok, others "how did that change". From what I've seen, it seems to be resetting itself to the default Details view randomly. No known fix yet. At least it's a minor issue for now.

Sorry,
Shawn

Re: folder view problem

yeah tell me about it. its quite annoying, but I am kinda over it now.
last time I tried stupid things and had to reinstall. I prefer to have
everything in list mode.

you'd think this issue existed during testing?

Re: folder view problem

I don't have this issue. I use the Windows classic interface.

Vista Home Basic.

Problem with MS wireless elite keyboard

Help.

I have the MS wireless desktop elite keyboard, which has some nice features.
It works under Viata, except it keeps turning off the special function keys.
It does it several times a day. There is a F key that locks the functions -
it worked fine under XP.

Any ideas?

Also every once in a while my screen goes black for a second and comes back
on.

THANKS!

John

No idea about your problem, but you posted a reply to a thread titled
"folder view problem", so the people who do know the solution to your
problem are less likely to see it. It's best to start a new thread -
then people browsing the forums will see your subject in the thread title.

Messages are not identified as being in the same thread because they
have the same subject. There is an ID embedded in each message, which is
included in the header of replies to that message. Simply changing the
subject does not create a new thread - you need to create a completely
new message, rather than replying to an existing one.
