Unknown "tray" icon

Does anyone know what the icon on the right represents? It began appearing in the tray at system startup a couple of days ago for no apparent reason.

When I click it, an explorer window opens at "my computer" displaying all local & network drives.

Thanks

Icons don't appear in the job trey for no reason and out of the clear blue sky. You had better track it down and find out what it is about. For all you know, it could be malware. You should look in all program Start-up areas and see what is starting on the computer.

Re: Unknown "tray" icon

this is a microsoft news group. HTML has always been welcome.

do not use cruddy background colors, makes it hard to read.

using stationery is frowned upon.

Many people turn off UAC which removes a proven line of defense.

Don't kid yourself -- Vista is just another NT based O/S written by fallible
Human Beings.

Anything can be circumvented and defeated and nothing is bullet proof when a
Human Being is sitting at the wheel with the happy fingers that will click
on anything under the Sun, allowing things to execute.
