| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Hi reductant, Did you check the settings in "Power Options" to make sure "sleep after" or "Allow hybrid sleep" was on and that "hibernate after" is set for never in advanced power settings? Shawn |

| | Re: Vista Ultimate x64 Will Not Enter Sleep Mode but will Enter Hi Hi, I'm sure it is checked. I went into the advanced power options and enabled it. But when I tell the computer to sleep, the screen goes off but Windows pops up at the welcome screen about 5 seconds later. It does this both before and after I enabled hibernation. The computer will hibernate. | Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | I know this sounds funny, but try turning your mouse upside down (roller side up) when you put the computer to sleep. Sometimes the slightest movement of the mouse will bring it back awake. I noticed that when I put mine down to sleep and get up from the desk that sometimes it just pops back awake. Turned out I moved the mouse slightly when I got up. It finished going to sleep then poof awake. Shawn |
