| | Re: Forte's Agent Actually, no. I only have one install but have several different .ini files so I can check on different servers and let other friends use my computer for their e-mail. Can you elaborate a bit more on your problems? I have been using Agent for quite a few years, both as a newsreader as well as for e-mail. I might have come across some trick that could help. | | Re: Forte's Agent As I said , I have 4 installations of Agent ( one for each server ) Install number 3 , ALWAYS freezes on startup. As I swicth to XP ( dual boot system ) , I have no problems at all. So I presume install number 3 , is not corrupted. I tried the following steps : 1-Run the program in XP SP2 compatibility mode 2-Copy the whole folder do Vista's drive (G) 3-edit the shortcut to start in C:\path drive( where it is installed) and G:\path on vista drive None of the solutions above did the trick On Wed, 09 May 2007 20:26:18 GMT, John Wesley Asquith <john_asquith6@hotmail.com> wrote: >Actually, no. | | I have 4 different copies on one computer that are working just fine. Is is it possible that one of your databases is corrupt. The only time I have ever had trouble with Agent emptying all old messages (and checking by doing a compact databases) always cleared the problem. |
