Blue screen?

My OS is Vista home premium and if I shut my PC off (not restart) for longer
than a few minutes I get a blue screen for msahci.sys when I start back up.
Something about corrupted page file in non-paged area or some such (should
have it memorized I see it almost daily).

What exactly is this file and what does it do? Can't be all that important
of a file since things seem to run okay even though it's corrupted, I still
would like to know what it is and why I need it though.

Thank you for any and all help.

Re: Blue screen?

You probably have already done this but check windows update and download
and install any updates,
and also check your manufacturer's website for Vista updated drivers.

I was getting blue screens on my restarts until I updated all my drivers,
then
everything smoothed out and I haven't had a blue screen since.

Good Luck, Frank

See

and

I suspect the first.

Re: Blue screen?

Thank you for the links. Gonna just cool my heels until the fix is widely
released since neither of those issues is exactly like what I have. I do
believe the root trouble for those and mine all is the same to a large
degree.
