RE: power just cuts off

what type of computer is it? List some of the specifications. How old is it?
Is it a laptop or desktop?

Right now, I am thinking maybe a power supply problem.

RE: power just cuts off

its a dell PC about 1 year old, very high spec, dont know them off hard but
know they are good, i did think it might be a power supply problem but it has
only just started doing it since i installed vista, and it seems to be fine
after its been restarted.

RE: power just cuts off

You stated it was a dell PC, right?

I am a lab monitor for my school and we had a few computers running windows
XP Pro that constantly needed to be restarted and would run for a few hours
before restarting. We came to the conclusion it was a memory seat problem.

Take and open up the system and pop out the memory and place it back into
the slots it came out of. Make sure the side connectors are securely in
place. And also make sure you don't have any static electricity build up on
you by touching some metal object inside the computer.
