STOP: 0x00000124

Hey folks,

i bought myself a new pc about four weeks ago. Since this time i'm getting
crashes several times per day while playing video games. The Bluescreen
always tells me:

[...]system encountered an uncorrectable hardware error [...]
[...]
STOP: 0x00000124 (0x00000000, 0x832417F0, 0xB2000000, 0x00000175)
[...]

I reinstalled Vista and installed all newest drivers (Nvidia Forceware,
Soundcard Stuff, TV Card Stuff, Intel Chipset, etc...) in safe mode, but the
pc still crashes while playing video games like UT2004. I also did a BIOS
Update with Live Update 3 and disabled C1E Support in BIOS (thats what i was
told in another forum). Nothing helped

My Machine:

Intel Core 2 Duo 4300 Box
MSI P965 Neo
Club3d 7600 GT 256 MB
1GB Aeneon DDR2
Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun
Terratec Cingergy HT PCI

I'm getting sick of these bluescreens...please help me.

P.S.: I'm sorry if my english isn't that good, but i'm from germany

It seems that UT2004 isn't supported on Vista yet.

Hmmm, i'm playing a mod of UT2004 and i know several people who are playing
without these issues.
I used google to solve the problem, and i found many users with the same
stop error while playing music or watching videos, so i don't think it's just
because of UT.

Re: 0x00000124

Same problem here on a Duo Core 6400 and Intel 965 chip set with
Nvidia 7200 PCIe video card and onboard audio. I have been chasing
this problem for a bout three weeks now. I see numerous forums talking
about STOP: 0x00000124 errors being sound driver or Nvidia driver
related. I have been updating both over the last three weeks and get
the same results. BSOD when playing video with sound. Disable the
sound hardware and no BSOD. Even tried an add on PCI sound card with
different hardware. Current drivers and BSOD when videos/sound play.

MS should be tired of receiving crash reports from my machine. All
STOP: 0x00000124 errors.

Steve

RE: STOP: 0x00000124

In your BIOS try dis-abling the duel core technology. I had an animation
program running very choppy on my Core 2 Duo untill I disabled the duel core
and then all was good.
