Vista - file sharing on live messenger with vista?

since ive installs vista my fle share on messenger will not work/ it sayin i
havent created a sharing file n asks if i want to create on now when the
sharing folder is there i can see it! i read a artical on google that there
is a bug in vista wihich stops file sharing if this is true i want to go back
to xp BUT i didnt get a reboot disc with my lap top. so how wuld i go about
that?

im not to impressed with vista its slow and hard to find things in its menu
set out
