If you do have it it will be in the sound options in control panel under the recording tab. |

| | Re: Record what U hear? Mine is a laptop Lenovo T60. The sound card showed in hardware manager is: Sound MAX integrated Digital HD Audio. Sorry I still couldn't find that option as in XP or 2k or any earlier version of windows. Any suggestion Thanks "Dave Cox" <dcox1961@gmail.com> wrote in message news:Xns993151C56FD08dcoxonramp113org@69.28.186.121... > "Dana Cline - MVP" <dcline@scriptpro.com> wrote in > news:eQyfy$ulHHA.4592@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl: > > > Where are the option of the Record what you hear in Vista? If it's a new laptop there is a good chance you will not have the "What you hear" recording available. You will have to do as others suggested and use a 3rd party application. If you upgraded it and you had the "What you hear" recording prior to installing Vista you need to go to Sound Max's web site and see if they have any Vista drivers for your onboard sound. |

| | Re: Record what U hear? I had the same issue, but finally figured it out. For me, it was Studio Mix, or Stereo Mix...something like that. I use the "HI-Q" Recorder, the only thing that worked perfectly for me. There's a free version to get you used to it...and from there, you're in! If that feature was important to you then you should have taken the time to make sure the new laptop sound card drivers supported it. Once again, download a 3rd party application that allows you to do what you want. |
