Vista - display- appearance advanced

I work with visually impaired clients. Today Ii visited my fist client who
has Vista rather than XP. He wanted me to get onto Settings advanced and
alter a variety of setting for him ( ie making them larger) - caption
buttons, menus font size, active title bar, window font size etc etc.
However, I couldnt find this on Vista. Where is it?

You've a couple of options...

1. Control Panel > Personalisation> Adjust Font Size & Other options

(accessible by right click desktop / personalize)

2. Control Panel > Ease of Access (via start menu)

(This is also accessible directly from the Vista logon screen,
button lower left hand corner)

Right-click desktop > Personalize > Window Color and Appearance >
Advanced....

How exactly do you adjust the font size - say for the icons or menus or
windows. There seem to be no pt settings? it asks for dpi which means nothing
to the average punter?

Rather than me typing out or cut and pasting sections from the Vista
help and support function try the following...

Start Menu > Help & Support >

Type "font size" in the search window and hit enter... (keyboard - bottom
right corner.)

Left click (probably index finger on right hand) mouse
on option 1. Make the text on your screen larger or smaller

and take it from there. I can't describe it any better myself.

You can adjust some things with the mouse...for instance, click on the
desktop, press Ctrl, and move the mouse wheel - it adjusts the size of the
desktop icons. It may also work in other programs...

Go to Control Panel, try Easy of Access Center. Several cool features
for the impared.
