Vista - Windows logos and NI variable engine

hey guys,

when windows (vista home premium) starts i get two error messages.

'part of windows logos has stopped working' and

'part of the NI variable engine has stopped working'.

both messages say that windows will contact me when there is a solution.

there is no effect on the computers performance (that i can see) but after
just buying an expensive laptop with vista, i'd rather not be having any
errors.

Any suggestions as to what i should do?
