Vista - Shortcuts in start menu don't work

Hello,
nearly every shortcut in the start menu doesn't work anymore. So, every time
I want to start a programm I have to open it directly in the explorer.

How can I fix this problem?

This appears to be a bug... I've narrowed it down to programs that don't
have the exeacutable in the "target" field of the shortcut. Seems to only
affect the recently opened programs in the start menu. No fix as of yet, at
least from what I can tell from the boards. Keep asking though as this will
be the only way MS will fix it!

This programs replace a start menu. I use it 8 month and very like it.

can't be a bug, just can't be.

no, I don't get an error message. Vista simply does nothing when clicking....

Yes, you are are right. I have the same issue with the executables in the
"target" field. Whom should I ask to fix it?

Thx, I tested your recommended programm. It's pretty good but the search
function is missing (or not working), thats why I love the original start
menu so much.

I wish I knew to whom to ask but we can make noise here!!

Solution is that there is a shell context Menu with another program installed
on your system. Do "Method 2" from the following web site to fix the problem!
