Vista Tutorial - What the IT people are waiting for: SP1 lives!

Why do they say it lives? Well some MS people circulated rumors that vista
will never have
a package called SP1... rather a stream of updates will exist via windows
update.

but guys.. this is a marketing thing ... many companies are waiting for what
they have in mind as SP1
to see if vista will be less horrid with that..

So they changed the story now and are back on the SP1 scenario. Its only
logical.. give the consumers
what they expect.. and a hope that vista will be better than the monstrosity
it is now!

Naysayer vistaboys may be stupid enough to deny MS ever said that there
would be no SP1
but they distort everything.. so who listens to them anyway?

Sure it was all over the place.. of course I never believed it because I
knew
companies and consumers would demand a SP. Some people in here, yes
vistaboys from this very newsgroup said that there would be no SP1. Their
logic: A SP is only a collection of fixes.. why dont you collect them all
together and make your own. Lol yes this was actually said to me in here
from someone.

I dont really understand the reasons why this no SP rumor was circulated..
perhaps some other people in here can
tell us why. Perhaps they wanted to give the public the feeling that vista
was so good it didnt need a SP so they
wont wait? Thats the only reason that I can imagine MS saying such a thing.

You must have lots of extra time on your hands to just keep posting and
posting. If my wife talked as much as you posted, I would hit her with a

I recall months ago the fanboy crowd was pretending that Vista was so
good there would be no need for any service pack. LOL!

Yea right, sure. Microsoft release some OS then didn't need a SP. That
will be the day.
