| | Default User Start Menu in Vista? In Windows XP I can modify the start menu items that will show up for the default user in "C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Start Menu". However, I can't find this in Vista. Does anyone know how to edit these items? Thanks, Mike McCollister |

Can you possibly also explain what the meaning of the "Roaming" is under users. It seems a funny tern to use. I would have thought all local menus would go under, well, local. Just wondering. | | Re: Default User Start Menu in Vista? roaming means that theoretically you can log into the account from a remote computer; thus it is roaming. | | Re: Default User Start Menu in Vista? Rick, Thanks for the information. However, I have found that this folder that you mentioned does not have Internet Explorer, Windows Mail and Windows Media Player in it. Any ideas where that can be changed? | | Re: Default User Start Menu in Vista? Hi Mike, Find them in the extended menu, then right click the shortcut and use 'pin to start menu'. This will put them on the main menu. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Mike McCollister" <Mike_McCollister@msn.com> wrote in message news:OYRgnfimHHA.208@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Rick, > > Thanks for the information.
