| | Re: new browser shell that puts ie7 to shame.. I use Maxthon browser, donationware: http://www.maxthon.com/ The COMBO download comes with RoboForm ($ for full featured version), and includes add blocker, can use some IE plugins (such as ieSpell), and much more. Also, has links to Maxthon plugins from many sources. Note: RoboForm installs for both Maxthon & IE. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxthon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers Some say Maxthon's one not-so-good = it uses the IE engine. From my view that ensures excellent compatibility with Windows. This is one of many WEB browsers which has tabbed browsing long before MS caught up with the idea. And the very latest version (v1.5.9 build 80 Standard) is Vista/IE7 compatible. -- ======== Tecknomage ======== Computer Systems Specialist San Diego, CA |

Very similar to Maxthon and it edged out in usuability and costumization: http://www.avantbrowser.com/ |

| | RE: new browser shell that puts ie7 to shame.. It is a nice browser, HOWEVER, when you start it, according to my AVG, it insists on connecting to 215.58.227.76 Port 80. (and if you don't allow it to it won't play). My nasty, suspicious mind immediately assumed it is "calling home" and setting up to log your surfing. Am I right or just being paranoid? Jack > |
