| | Trojan-Downloader.Java.Agent.c When I do a virus scan I get this virus is on my computer. My virus protection doesn't remove it. It tells me it is in: C:\Users\Marian\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\9\3c0ee589-4e4af33a\FcPred.class when I do a search for that it doesn't find it. Is there a way for me to get rid of this? |

| | RE: Trojan-Downloader.Java.Agent.c I also meant to say I removed my Sun Java and downloaded again but that didn't help. |

Yes, download, install and run Crap Cleaner from www.ccleaner.com or find the Java Cache and empty it. You can do that from the Java Console in your Control Panel. Alias |

I was hopelessly infected and they walked me through getting my system clean. I was one step away from formatting the hard drive. |

There are antio virus News Groups for such questions. In the Microsoft hierarchy it is; news://news.microsoft.com/microsoft....security.virus If you are using any version of Sun Java that is prior to JRE Version 6.0, then you are strongly urged to remove any/all versions. There are numerous vulnerabilities in them and they are actively being exploited. It is highly suggested that you update to the latest version which is Sun Java JRE/JSE Version 6.0 update 1 (jre 6u1) Simple check, look under... C:\Program Files\Java The only folder under that folder should be the latest version. Such as... C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01 http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Dump the Java cache. Control panel --> Java --> settings --> delete files Re-scan the PC and report back your results.
