Vista - My new Toshiba Satellite blanks out the screen for a few seconds..

I just bought Toshiba Satellite U205-5057 (Intel 5500, 2GB RAM, 224MB Video
RAM) running Windows Vista. Every few minutes (about 20 or so), the screen
goes blank for few seconds (4-5 seconds) and comes back. It seems that
explorer seems to be restarting with back light going out as well.

I returned the unit and got a second unit and the same issue.

Any suggestion?

might check the event logs to see if anything is going on.
also the Reliability and Performance monitor logs.
