| | Ipod Sbuffle Syncing I recently upgraded to vista and now I am trying to sync my Shuffle and it give the following message: "Attempting to copy to the disk “name” failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. Itunes could not save to your Music Folder because you do not have write access. Check the permissions on your Music Folder and folders in your Music Folder, then try copying this file again." I have given full access privileges to all the folders and all administrators/users. And it still gives me this message. I checked w/ Apple and they do not have a solution for this either. Can anybody HELP???? This is flipping annoying. Thanks! |

| | Ipod permissions huh? Have you tried right clicking on the device/folder, choosing properties, choosing security tab, choosing advanced, choosing owner tab, choosing edit, selecting your own username/group your in, selecting 'Replace owner on all subcontainers and objects', hitting 'Apply', 'Yes' followed by 'Ok' six times? Usually works with most permission issues. It basically declares you the owner with full rights on all files and subcontainers. Its needed with some upgrade issues that can occur from upg from winxp > win vista. Good luck! WBurchnall |
