| | Complete PC Backup include recovery partition?? Question: If i use the Complete PC Backup utility that comes with Ultimate, will it also backup my recovery partition in addition to the partition that contains my vista operating system. Both partitions reside on the same hard drive. I have accidentally erased my recovery partition and i'm hoping this would be a way to recover it. |

Only if you included that partition in the backup. When using Complete PC Backup you have to tell it what volumes to include. It includes the boot and system partitions (if they are different) by default. The others you have to choose. Btw, how did you "accidentally" erase a partition? -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |

| | Re: Complete PC Backup include recovery partition?? Well, it was more of a stupid mistake than an accident. I was using a partition program which I've used before but I was tired and in a hurry and I wanted to delete a 3rd partition. Instead I hadn't noticed that I had the wrong partition selected before hitting the delete key. A stupid mistake. I don't really need the operating system that was on the recovery partition but the drivers will be hard to track down when I need them. I'll try contacting the manufacturer to get soe recovery disks. C'est la vie! "Rock" wrote: > "I. I don't have any to recommend but you can Google for it. Stop using that drive until you try a recovery. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
