Where can I find out what software is and isnt compatiblecurrently with
Vista?

In particular I have an ancient but beloved Dreamweaver 3.00 that I use
daily - would that instal and run underVista?

There are millions of software packages out in the world with more coming
every day - it is unreasonable to expect there to be some list of compatible
apps out of all of these.
Obviously Microsoft have done a huge amount of testing on common current
versions of applications like office productivity suites etc and even
released an update to Vista to fix a few of these.
But ultimately the best source of this information is for you to check with
the manufacturer of the application for their statement on the support of
that application on Windows Vista.
