| | windows experience index score decrease i have lost my ability to use vista aero (all of a sudden) after being able to use it for 5 months and my WEI has dropped from 4.6 to 3.0, why has this happened and what can I do to get aero back? asus A8n e, 4gb Ram, 300gb hdd, Nvidia 6800 LE AMD x 64 3800+ dual core. It is so weird, I have aero listed under personalization but the windows colours and transparency slider are missing so I cannot enable aero |

| | Re: windows experience index score decrease The graphics card score was 4.6 but there is one that says gaming something or other and this was showing 3.0. I rolled back the driver on my Nvidia 6800LE then rebooted and the index has gone back up to 4.6 "AJR" <ajrjdr@comcast.net> wrote in message news:OllFMHYnHHA.4772@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > The lowest individual score is the one reported - if the change was the > graphics index - it would be the likely suspect. > > "VRG Admin" <the8oxy@hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:OEJ4zOXnHHA.1476@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> Have you installed new Graphics Drivers ? >> Seems to have caused this problem on a few systems I have seen. >> >> VRG Admin >> >> -- >> www.VistaReadyGames.com > > |

| | The problem is your graphics drivers. When you install or even uninstall nvidia drivers from vista do so from safe mode. Don't know why but that solved my issues. Previously my driver setup would go all wayhire but since i did this metod no issues |
