For the past 2 days my computer keeps freezing. I turn it on and it is fine.
When I put in my password it accepts it and it says "welcome". It doesn't
quite freeze because the icon keeps moving but it doesn't ever get past this
welcome screen! Everytime I turn it on it is the same thing. Any
suggestions??

I'm experiencing the same issue.
If I try several times it works after some 3 or 5 tries.
I'm running Vista Ultimate with Toshiba A135-S4477 (Intel Core 2 Duo +
2Gb RAM).

Any news about this?

Try starting in safe mode (press F8 when booting up), and if that starts up
try to diagnose the problem in the event viewer.
