| | Re: desktop background changing to black Yeah, that looks exactly the way you described it, and the way I imagined it. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a clue as to how to fix it, though. At this point I would try uninstalling Acrobat Reader and reinstalling it -- if you haven't done that already. If Acrobat Reader's associated icons are the only ones on the system that are misbehaving, I'm guessing something may have gone awry with the original installation. A reinstallation and / or calling Adobe tech support are the only options I can think of that make much sense right now.
