Re: easy transfer cable

Hello,
Thanks for posting. From your post, my understanding of the issue is that
you have a question about using the Easy Transfer Cable to transfer your
files and settings to Windows Vista.

The Easy Transfer Cable only works with Windows XP and Windows Vista. It
sounds like you have a network. If so, using Windows Easy Transfer and your
network to transfer your files and settings to your new computer might be a
good option for you. Note that Windows Easy Transfer works with Windows 2000
(files only), Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Take a look at this Help topic for more information:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...033.mspx#E1CAC

Let me know if you need more help with this problem.

Sincerely,
Byron

Re: easy transfer cable

Windows XP only with EasyTransfer, though the cable itself will work for
normal transfers with Windows ME and up.

you suggested. it says easy transfer will only transfer files.i guess my best
bet would be to copy my addresses my favorites, and that would be it.....i
have no files.i use the pc just for e-mails and games.i appreciate your
help...all i need to do is set up the new computer and go from
there......thank you again
