| | Remove Norton - Just FYI Remove Norton from your system and use AVAST or AVG Free. Much better with system resources. | | Re: Remove Norton - Just FYI I agree with you 100% on that one, Avast 4.7 Home Edition is 100% Free to Home User's, and works on both X64 Windows XP and X64 Windows Vista, and Avast 4.7 Server Edition works on both X64 Windows Server 2003 and X64 Windows Server 2008 Beta 3, Avast 4.7 Pro Edition is Only $49.99 for One Computer for One Year for Corporate User's, Just FYI. Funny you should say that but I'm running NIS2007 and I ran the public Beta of Norton 360 and both ran fine under VISTA, Business and Ultimate in the case of NIS2007. And it is no longer correct to say that it is a resource hog -- it is not. The 2007 versions are terrific jump forward from earlier Norton versions. Not just my opinion -- echoed in reviews I've read. |

| | Re: Norton Antivirus I've used Norton products for more than 15 years. When Peter Norton was running the company ande sold truly useful utilities their products were pretty good. But once Symantec bought out Norton I won't purchase or install anything from them. What is now sold under the name of "Norton" can screw up any computer and even if it doesn't wreck something it will slow down your processor in ever-expanding frustrating ways.
