| | Sound too loud Hello all, I Just installed Vista and I have a problem with volume control: I have to set all volumes to minimum in order to get reasonable volume through my earphones. I remember that I could specify which type of device I was using in XP (2-4 speaker system, headphones etc.) but I can't find this option in Vista. I tried installing latest drivers for my audio device but all I have is Sigma Tel High Def. Audio Codec. When I try to update it, Windows displays a "No audio device installed". Any advice would be great so I can have a descent margin on volume control again. |

Click start menu then Control Panel then Sound. Select your current speaker output then click Configure. If you don't see headphones then you'll have to wait for an updated driver. It wasn't until the most current Sound Blaster drivers that were just released that I finally got a headphone setting here. |
