Program Compatibilty issue on startup

When i first boot up Vista I get a dialog box that has the following
message.....
Program Compatibilty Assistant comes up and states.....This program has
known compatibilty issues...
Program: Microsoft Windows SBS
Publisher: Microsoft
Location: \\**servername**\clients\setup\setup.exe
MS Windows SBS has a known compatibilty issue with this version of windows
and might not run as expected. For more info contact MS.
Options are.....Check solutions online or Run Program or Cancel
Check solutions does this.....I have click to run this download and get the
following dialog box.......Setup Error>Not enough storage is available to
process this command.....Click OK and get the following....

Dialog box appears titled Problem Reports and Solutions
This problem was caused by a compatibilty issue between and this version of
MS SBS. This program was created by MS Corporation.
Recommendation shows up with a link to MS.....link opens up MS page
titled....Windows SBS 2003: Vista and Outlook 2007 compatibilty update....
I try to download "Update for Windows SBS 2003: Vista and Outlook 2007
Compatibilty. Click Download and the following happens....dialog box titled
Setup Error>installation did not complete....

Anyone have a clue why this happens?

Re: Program Compatibilty issue on startup

It appears that you are trying to download or install updates for Windows
Small Business Server. Altough these updates address issues with Vista
compatibility and SBS, they are meant to be installed on the SBS, not on the
Vista clients.

Re: Program Compatibilty issue on startup

Jane,

This is Vista Business on a pc.....came straight from a pc store....pre
loaded....why would this be asking to install on the pc when it is meant for
a server?

Re: Program Compatibilty issue on startup

I know this might sound silly, but have you loaded the Vista compatibility updates onto the server for Vista? I have documented them at http://uksbsguy.com/blogs/doverton/archive/2007/02/28/using-windows-vista-and-outlook-2007-in-a-windows-small-business-server-2003-network.aspx

thanks
