| | Blank Passwords Policy I had the same problem. With a little probing (whaddaya know, windows vista help actualy....helped) Get to your run command and type MMC.exe. Click File - open go to Windows/system32/secpol.msc set 'Local Policies/Security Options/Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only' to diabled. should fix yer problem.
