Vista Media Center / Xbox 360 Update

Okay, what gives.

The Xbox 360 team puts out an update that allows streaming of all types of
different formats from PC to xbox 360. Yet, those of us using Media Center
(which is what you should be using for Home Theater stuff), are still in the
dark ages limited to streaming wmv only.

WHAT GIVES? I have a media center PC and 3 xbox 360's (MCE is a server in a
closet and one 360 in each room). When will Vista Media Center have all the
features that the xbox 360's have built in?

Also, I know that CableCard's can only come with a new OEM PC (BOOOOOOOOO).
Will there ever be the day where I can pick up a cablecard tuner by itself?
If not, I know MS is working with DirecTV....will those cards be for sale
ONLY with a new PC as well?

Thanks in advance for the help!

What formats are you trying to stream? I stream formats other than WMV
from Vista Ultimate to my 360 with no problems.
