Recent Places in dialogue boxes

I have been searching Google and cannot find anything - maybe I am
phrasing the search the wrong way?

When I open a Save or Open dialogue box there is a button "Recent
Places" which I assume should show most recent folders accessed.

However, whenever I click it nothing happens.

How can I get it to work?

Thanks for any info.

Do you mean this? Can you show me exactly where you mean with a pic or
exact description? I don't see any button on the diaogue boxes.

G'Day Chad - thanks for your reply

Following paragraph from above link describes the button I am talking
about:-

"My Recent Documents: Most file dialog boxes have a
History (Windows 2000), My Recent Documents (XP),
or **Recent Places** (Windows Vista) shortcut in the Places
Bar. Click it to see a list of recently accessed files and
folders. In Windows 2000 and XP, you can filter the types of
files in this list via the 'Files of type' drop-down menu at the
bottom. In Windows Vista, you can remove the current batch
of shortcuts in Recent Places by right-clicking the icon and
choosing Clear Recent Items List."

An image showing the button in one of my Open dialogue boxes is at
followsing URL:-

In left side:-

Desktop
Finance (one I put there myself)
Recent Places
Computer
etc.

Cheers .............
