| | MSN Messenger 8.1, Vista Home Premium, Webcam not working I have a Creative Live! Cam Video IM I bought a couple of months ago and ever since I have downloaded 8.1 and installed Vista (upgrade from XP Home), I cannot get the webcam to connect....it's strange. It will show up in the box Accept or Cancel and both parties can see that it's trying to connect but then it just times out and says that it cannot connect for some reason. Now, I do have a theory, so if somebody could solve this for me it would be much appreciated. My theory consists of this: I did just recently install new Vista BETA drivers for the Creative Live! Video IM Webcam. So, my theory is that they just haven't worked out the kinks yet. If anybody can offer any more insight, it would be much appreciated. I'd like to get this up and running. Thank you and I look forward to your responses. |
