Vista - Re Activation Surprise

I finally decided to get rid of my dual boot setup. As stated by me a few
times I haven't had any trouble with Vista ( Business 64 ) ( touch wood
lolol ) So I did a gut and clean and installed Vista as a stand alone.
Naturally after doing this I found that I had 3 days to activate it so I
clicked on the activate and whammo it activated successfully.
After this happening it got me thinking........ because I do a lot of guinea
pigging ( not sure if there is such a word ) I noticed that when I used WinXP
Pro 64 I reinstalled it at least 6 to 8 times and not once did I need to get
a new key, it always re activated without a problem. Now I am wondering
whether this has happened to anyone out the with either the the 64 bit
version of XP or Vista?
Maybe for me the Space Time Continuem ceases to exist for me, or Microsoft
doesn't care about their 64 bit versions re activations.
I would be interested to hear comments with regards to this.

I have reactivated one copy of 32 bit Vista four times now for a customer,
after reinstalling same. Internet activation went through without a hitch.

HI Richard,

It is interesting to read what you have written here.
Many have written how they dislike having to go through the re activation
process all the time they change something and here I do a total gut and
clean and Vista activated again without a prob. Are some systems protected by
a Quantum Singlarity and others aren't ??? The plot thickens lolol

Thanks for the efforts. I think the main page linked is too far from the customers needs at this point.
Simplify the interface with a little less animosity to their wallets.

I was not notified to reactovate my Vista Home Basic. Now I locked out of
wiindows anad told to reenter my Product Key. When I do this an error sign
appears. I am now unable to use my laptop. What should I do so that I can
reactivate Vista after the 30 days?

Just ring Microsoft and they will talk you through starting your machine
plus give you a new product key

You'll need to do the phone activation. If you want
to get to your desktop right away, follow the instructions
at the link below. However, you will still need to call them.

Out of interest, how many days were there between the previous activation
and this one?
