Re: Installation failed ( image-file not found ? )

That indicates a dvd problem. Microsoft suggests you burn the dvd at as
slow a speed as your software allows. 2x or 4x. That does not solve all
dvd issues but it does solve most of them.

Re: Installation failed ( image-file not found ? )

I get this error when installing using Virtual PC. It occurs after I enter
the registration keys?

Re: Installation failed ( image-file not found ? )

I get this error after I enter the registration keys. It happened on 3
different builds but always using Virtual PC.

Re: Installation failed ( image-file not found ? )

You cannot install from the dvd image using the virtual cd drive in VPC.
You can install by burning the image to disc and use the physical cd/dvd
drive.

Re: Installation failed ( image-file not found ? )

I apologize for the multiple posts. The forum claims that the post failed but
not so.
Anyway, I appreciate the response. It sounds like you are saying the VC will
not work for an install with Vista Beta. I burned the iso image to a dvd and
installed with VC.

Re: Installation failed ( image-file not found ? )

The multiple posts are the result of a bug in the web-based newsreader.
Consider using the newsreader in Vista Mail or OE on XP.

As long as you make a physical disc, Vista should install in VPC.
