| | Battery Power Is there anyway I can set up a visual popup or indicator that my battery power is low, I have set up an audio one but I keep missing it when I have turned the sound down so as not to annoy everyone else watching TV ? |

| | Re: Battery Power Do you not have a small battery icon to the left of the system clock? If you do, check the advanced settings in Power Options to ensure that "Low battery notification" is turned on. When working properly, a balloon-thing will pop up when the power threshold is reached...it's hard to miss. If you don't see the batter icon, right-click on the task bar and choose Properties. Unser the "Notification Area" tab, make sure there is a check mark next to "Power" Tim "killjoy" <johneastwell@ntlworld.comnospam> wrote in message news:Oii3HkioHHA.3512@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Is there anyway I can set up a visual popup or indicator that my battery > power is low, I have set up an audio one but I keep missing it when I have > turned the sound down so as not to annoy everyone else watching TV ? > > |

| | Re: Battery Power I think OP wants something more attention getting than another little annoying balloon tip. Another case of new OS from MS having fewer user controlled features. In XP, one can set an application to run when the low/critical warnings are activated - so you could have a big scary image file open up. I cannot find any similar capability in Vista.
