| | Vista Enterprise Freeze's when Accessing Folders Its a very random thing, no matter what program I am in if I open a Open/Save Dialog sometimes the dialog will freeze for several minutes. If I open a folder from the run box, same thing. Lets say I'm in WMP and I go to open a file, the open dialog will freeze. So I open Windows Explorer, it freezes. The desktop sometimes freezes along with it, sometines the task bar does also. I also get alot of Explorer crashes as well (Desktop, not Internet). In XP when Explorer froze or crashed I would just kill Explorer.exe and restart it from the Run box. Doesn't work in vista, probably has to do with the Aero interface and the Desktop Windows manager service, both of which i tried to restart but did not solve the issue. I have a fairly new dell w/ a dual core processor and 2 gb of ram. All I run is basic business apps. Any Ideas? |

| | Re: Vista Enterprise Freeze's when Accessing Folders A really wild idea, could it be the DNS configuration. This is what happened to me. http://computerperformance.co.uk/vis...nning_slow.htm Guy <DayElevator@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1180549453.240317.33480@k79g2000hse.googlegroups.com... > Its a very random thing, no matter what program I am in if I open a > Open/Save Dialog sometimes the dialog will freeze for several > minutes.
