Transferring Word 2000 documents

I just got my new pc today. I was using Win98 and copied all my Word
documents to a CD. I've installed Word 2000 but when I try to open the back
up CD it tells me the parameters are incorrect. HELP! I have a lot of
documents on there. What's going on?

Re: Transferring Word 2000 documents

I think that is something wrong with your cd. Have you tried to load to
another pc?

Re: Transferring Word 2000 documents

How did you copy the files to the CD?
Is the CD a CD-R or CD-RW?
What are trying to open it with?

When you look in Explorer, can you see the files on the CD? If yes, try
copying the files to your hard drive and then try opening the documents.

Word questions are much more likely to get the help you need if you
ask them in a Word newsgroup. When you do post there, be sure to tell
them the exact verbatim text of the message you receive.
