    Browse folders

    Hi!

When I dblclick a folder name in the right pane in the explorer window,
Vista suddenly has startet to open that folder in a new window, even if the
"Open each folder in the same window" option is selected. If I right-click
the folder name, it still shows Explore as default, and in that case, it
    opens in the same window.

    Anyone?

    TIA
    Frank

When you set each folder to open in the same window, did you click Apply to
All Folders. If not, deselect that option, click apply and ok, reselect the
option, click apply and ok, then, go to the View tab and click "Apply to
    Folders."

I've tried your advice now, but with no luck. It's just the same.

    Frank.

on the View tab, is "Remember Each Folder's View Setting" selected? If not,
select it, click apply and ok and try the above process again and see if
    that resolves it.

If that doesn't work, your original post implies previously, folders you
clicked in Explorer were opening as expected. You might try using System
Restore to take you back to a time when this was working for you. NOTE:
System Restore only restores the System State and registry, it does not
change your data files though you should always have your data well backed
    up.
