| | Vista network problem Hello I posted this question before, first of all thanks for the replys. None solved the problem. Let me restate the problem. I have a workegroup network now with three computers no it, a Win 2000, an xp and vista. All in the same workgroup. Now from the xp I can access the 2000 & the vista with no problem, just click on them and they come up with no logon. I can access the vista from the 2000 and the 2000 from the vista with no problem of signon. But when I try to access the xp from eather the 2000 or vista I must logon and when I do I get a logon error saying cannot logon wroung user name or password. I have the same user name and password for all computers. On the xp I've turned off the firewall, virse program and my spy swepper no help. everthing is shared. If you refer to [Vista & XP on same network] I tryed all susgestions no help. Any Ideas -- Thomas G. |

If you refer to [Vista & XP on same network] I tryed all > susgestions > no help. Any Ideas You might want to post to the microsoft.public.windows.vista.networking_sharing newsgroup. Note by creating a new thread you have removed the context so saying you "tryed all susgestions no help", doesn't help the people who would like to help you know what was tried, what didn't work and how it failed. I suggest if you repost to the other newsgroup you list all the things you have tried so far. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
