Reinstall Windows Media Player?

Is there a way to reinstall or do a repair of just WMP in Vista -- or does
one have to reinstall the entire OS? About a week ago I lost the ability to
stream the Sirius Satellite Radio internet stream - it's not a network issue-
i've tried the 'reset' function with IE7, which causes a reinstall of Windows
Media Player Extensions when attempting to stream -- however the problem
still occurs.

The applet displays 'Connecting, then connecting to media, then opening
media, and then repeats .. and then sits at 'Ready' .. I attempted to stream
another site, which goes directly through WMP instead of through the web
applet w/ WMP extension, and that fails also - the 'web help' option provides:

C00D10B5

Windows Media Player cannot play any items in the playlist. To find
information about the problem, click the Now Playing tab, and then click the
icon next to each file in the List pane.

If you don't get a reply here you might want to post to
microsoft.public.windows.vista.music_pictures_video and/or one of the
windows media player newsgroups:

microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player
microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer

Re: Reinstall Windows Media Player?

Hi Sal--

Instead of reinstalling WMP your fixing the problem is often in taking
measures to resolve a specific error. Your error is discussed here:
