BITS background intelligent transfer server

I have buy in hmv some music but when i try to download, a message pops up
saying:
'Background Intelligent Transfer Server could not be started, it may be
disabled' It suggests going into start, what i can do?

My System SpecsSystem Spec

You may need to start this service in MSCONFIG.

hi thanks i really find a solution for this problem all what i done it was
right click in the internet explore icon and run as administrator

hi john
all what you have to do is go to the logo the internet explore down
in you task bar and do right click then a menu show and click in run as
administrator then a internet explore window is open go to hmv page sign in
and download you music in this time the mesenger is not go to show
good luck write me back if you still have the problem

hi yulied,
I did that and it works fine - great, thanks! I wonder why, though. I
thought that as I am the only user on my computer that I am also the
administrator, so why "run as administrator"? Anyway, doesn't matter, problem
is solved, got the music. cheers.
