BSOD 0x00000124 during WMPlayer or Nero Player - Vista Ultimate

When I play video I receive intermittend the BSOD with error 0x00000124. I
have no extra or Sound Driver installed and everything is original

I can reproduce the problem. Hardware; ASUS P5B-Plkus Vista Edition, Intel
Core Duo 6600, NVidia 7600 and 2 GB Memory.

This is what I found in the error protocol:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:

BCP1: 00000000
BCP2: 874C9028
BCP3: B2000018
BCP4: 02000E0F
OS Version: 6_0_6000
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

I am sorry. Was too fast hitting send. Can anyone give me some ideas?
Actually, I am looking for help.

Based on my reading in Vista groups I would strongly suspect the driver
for your graphics chip. I've seen some posts saying that the latest
beta drivers from NVidia have fixed their problems. Might be worth
a try.

I loaded the new Nvidia driver (beta) and still have the problem.

For me the problem started when I upgraded the motherboard, memory and
processor. Before the upgrade I was running Vista without a problem.

Re: BSOD 0x00000124 during WMPlayer or Nero Player - Vista Ultimate

I loaded the newest drivers (beta) and problem continued. Then after reading
some more in other newsgroups I read something about overclocking. I
overclocked the system by 20% and so far (one day) I did not have a BSOD.
Watched TV, two DVD, smller mpeg files, dvix and checked Pictures in Full
screen. No problem.

But new problem started. I started a new message "WMP 11 will not terminate
sound".
