Vista Tutorial - External hard drive problem

Hi guys

I have a lap top with vista! i have connected a usb hard drive to my laptop!
1 problem I can see the hard drive in device manager but not im my computer!

Any ideas on an answer!

Is this a new drive? Has it been partitioned and formatted?

Has the drive been set as a master? If so and it does not load try the CS
setting. Usually one of those will work and the drive will load, assuming,
of course , it is partitioned, etc as a previous reply suggested.

Open Disk Management. Is the drive partitioned/formatted and a drive letter
assigned? Right click Computer | Manage | Drive Management in the left
pane.
