Vista - programs won't launch, but appear when explorer crashes and restar

I got no reply to my last problem so here goes again.

Today I tryed to launch IE, didn't launch of course. But when i whent to
control panel to try something, the window froze and crashed. then explorer
crashed and restarted and I had IE browsers open. Obviously they're launching
when i click them but remain totally invisible until I either restart or
explorer crashes. This still only happens to internet based software... and
quicktime. some won't appear at all and others will just hang. This is
ridiculous...

Uninstall Quicktime.
