Remote assistance fix for Vista with AV software installed?

This problem appears to crop but after any AV install on Vista regardless of
the vendor, Symantec, Mcafee.

JThek[MS] appears to know that there is a problem and that a fix is in the
works.

Any word on when a fix is due out?

Re: Remote assistance fix for Vista with AV software installed?

Hi,

The fix needs to come from the AV vendors, as they are the ones whose
programs are blocking a function that works fine otherwise.

Re: Remote assistance fix for Vista with AV software installed?

Rick,
Thanks for the quick reply. But it's value is subject... It appears to be
any AV not just Mcafee or Symantec. As noted a MS rep has already stated
there is a problem and they're working on a fix. I'm sure it's a problem
with when and not if, since MS already knows about it.

Do a quick search for "remote assistance" in the news group you'll find
JThek[MS]'s post.

Regards,
Ben
