| Guest | RE: OS Update uninstall files Hey Keith, Here are the steps to find your updates: From Control Panel select Programs and Features. On the left pane select the View installed updates option. R-click on the update you want to uninstall and select Uninstall. Good luck, CM "Keith B. He wants to delete the uninstall folders, not the updates themselves. To the OP, that's a good question. I don't know where they are in Vista. You might want to post to the Windows Update newsgroup. microsoft.public.windowupdate -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |

| Guest | Re: OS Update uninstall files Thanks for the reply. You are correct that I want to get rid of the uninstalls for things updated. In XP they were folders in the "Windows" folder prefaced with a dollar sign ($). You could manually delete them to free up space. And this is very necessary on older XP installations as I have seen well over a GB of these uninstall folders. More than a hundred uninstall folders for things the user will never need to uninstall. I will see if I can post the question to the group you mentioned. Thanks again!!
