| | Internet Lockup I have a Sierra Wireless Aircard 595U and at unexpected times the IE 7 will stop browsing and the Sprint Connection manager will lock up as well as the charging status and networking and sharing portion of the task bar. What gives? |

| | RE: Internet Lockup I also have this same issue. I constantly lock up, especially if I walk away for a minute. I also have a Dell laptop, running Xp, and I can use the card on that machine and work for hours at a time. I had Sprint replace my card, but the issue continues. | | RE: Internet Lockup I have talked with sprint till I'm blue in the face. I have an IT friend of mine looking into the problem now. He seems to think that the BIOS needs flashing. I tend to think it's Windows Live One Care. Do you have that program? "ootka37" wrote: > I also have this same issue. I constantly lock up, especially if I walk away > for a minute. | | RE: Internet Lockup Not sure what the Windows Live One Care program is. Sprint replaced my card, and the new card has the same issue. I can tell you, that I have a laptop from work, running windows XP, and the card runs fine. So I am beginning to think it is the Vista that is the problem. Let me know if you find out anything new, and I will as well. "ljones135" wrote: > I have talked with sprint till I'm blue in the face. I have an IT friend of > mine looking into the problem now. | | RE: Internet Lockup I thought I was the only one having this problem. The card works perfectly fine with windows xp, but with vista it just drops in some time. However, I realized that if I am watching a stream ( movie etc.) online, it doesn't disconnect for hours even on vista! Looks like the problem comes when the connection becomes idle. | | RE: Internet Lockup I think I solved the problem, was reading through articles on the web and found out it had something to do with power management. In my case, I went to power options in control panel and selected advanced. It had 'USB selective suspend' setting enabled. I disabled it and it has been working without a problem ever since ( 30 ~ 40 minutes). Still testing it, so will post again if the problem comes back!! Hope it works for everyone.
